Tiny Tattoo by Trois is a collaborative small-design service. The studio matches each request to an appropriate artistic direction and appointment.

There is no universal minimum size

A solid heart and a design with faces, text and shading may share the same outer dimensions but need completely different space. The artist checks whether gaps remain open, whether the main form reads at a glance, and whether the design needs to follow a body curve.

If a reference contains too much, options include increasing the scale, removing secondary detail, changing to an outline or separating ideas. Responsible advice sometimes means explaining what would be lost by making it smaller.

Lettering, dates and symbols

Confirm spelling, capitalisation, punctuation and language. Dates should use an unambiguous format. Handwriting can retain personal character, but strokes that are too fine or close may need adjustment. Chinese characters and complex scripts usually need more room than simple Latin lettering.

Placement and natural change

Fingers, side of hand, wrist, ankle and foot experience different movement and friction. Sun exposure, aftercare, skin and lifestyle affect how every tattoo settles. Useful negative space allows the design to remain legible as lines naturally change over time.

FAQs

Can lettering exactly match a computer font?

The font can guide the style, but weight, spacing and corners may need to change for skin and scale.

Are fingers and wrists suitable?

They can be assessed, with clear advice on movement, friction, sun exposure and healing limitations.

Can a tiny tattoo be a same-day walk-in?

The service is appointment-only and requires design, placement, quote, deposit and date confirmation.
