An anime or cartoon tattoo is recognised through silhouette, expression and palette. Translating a bright screen image onto skin usually means editing linework, contrast and negative space.
Establish the character and palette
Send the character name, source, preferred scene and essential details. Versions, costumes and colour palettes can differ. At a limited scale, preserve the most recognisable expression, outline or prop instead of forcing in an entire background.
Skin influences perceived brightness. The artist uses outlines, values and adjacent colour contrast to keep the design readable; a glowing screen effect cannot be transferred literally.
Why colour looks different while healing
A fresh tattoo can look red, wet and reflective. It then passes through dryness and surface renewal. A settled tattoo generally appears softer, which does not mean all colour has fallen out. Do not scratch or pull dry skin.
After the skin has fully settled, contact the studio with a clear natural-light photograph if an area needs review. Any touch-up is assessed according to the skin and the individual booking arrangement.

- Follow the artist's dressing and cleaning instructions with clean hands.
- Avoid trapped sweat, tight friction and unclean environments.
- Avoid swimming, soaking, sauna and direct sun before the skin settles.
- Once healed, use sun protection; UV exposure affects the appearance of every tattoo.
- Seek medical care for worsening redness, severe pain, fever or unusual discharge.

FAQs
Will colour always look lighter after healing?
It normally looks less wet and reflective than a fresh tattoo. Skin, placement, aftercare and sunlight also affect the settled appearance.
Is colour leaving with dry skin normal?
Light flaking can occur. Do not pick it, and seek advice if redness, pain or discharge worsens.
When can I swim?
Avoid pools, sea and prolonged soaking until the skin has stabilised, following your individual instructions.
